Trim My Rate is a done-for-you bill negotiation service. You submit your information, we schedule a call, and a negotiation specialist contacts your provider on your behalf.
You remain on the call the entire time and hear the outcome live. There is no version of this where we go off and do something to your account without you.
Success-only. If we don't reduce your bill, you owe nothing.
We don't collect payment before the call. After your provider states a new rate and you approve it on the call, we send an itemized invoice by email showing your old rate, new rate, first-year savings and our fee. Payment is due on receipt.
You'll get a confirmation email with your receipt and savings amount right after.
If we save you $30/month → first-year savings $360 → our fee is $126.
If we save you $40/month or more → the cap applies → our fee is $150, no matter how large the savings.
By sending us your bill and booking a call, you authorize a Trim My Rate specialist to contact your service provider on your behalf while you remain on the call.
You'll confirm your identity and account details directly with the provider. We will never ask you to leave the call, and we don't want your account password.
Some providers require a 1–2 year contract extension as a condition of a rate reduction. By proceeding you acknowledge this is possible, and agree that an extension doesn't change our fee.
Our specialist will tell you before you agree to anything. The decision is always yours.
Talking about cancellation is a normal way to reach a provider's retention department — it's often the only way to reach someone with authority to discount.
But we will never actually schedule a disconnection of your service. Nothing happens to your account without your spoken approval on the call.
We negotiate rate reductions. That's it.
If your provider offers a bundle, a package change, or a service upgrade during the call, that decision is yours and we'll step back. Our fee applies provided a rate reduction is confirmed.
After your call, we email you a summary with your new rate and the confirmation number from your provider. Your new rate should show within your next two bills. The first bill after a change is sometimes a mix of the old and new rates.
If the new rate doesn't show by your second bill, call your provider first and give them the confirmation number. This is usually a clerical error on their end, and that call typically fixes it.
If it still isn't right, reply to your summary email within 90 days of your call with a photo of the bill. We'll refund our fee in full.
Providers make the final decision, and we can't guarantee every call results in savings. Results vary by provider, by plan, and by which competing services are available at your address.
If no savings are achieved, you are not charged.
You must be 18 or older, and be the account holder or authorized by the account holder for the account we're calling about.
You can cancel any time before your call, at no cost — reply to your booking confirmation or email us. Since nothing is charged unless we save you money, there's nothing to refund.
We provide this service with reasonable care. To the fullest extent permitted by law, our total liability to you is limited to the amount of the fee you paid us.
We're not responsible for the terms your provider offers, for changes your provider later makes to your plan, or for any interruption of service resulting from actions you approve on the call.
Your information is used solely to prepare for and conduct your negotiation call. We don't sell your information. Full detail in our Privacy Policy.
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of California.
